Jeorge Trinidad

Modelled the Bioreactor’s X-Station, and Temperature Control Unit. Responsible for placement of tubes and clamps for the XDA bag. Modelled single use bioreactor, wave bioreactor, and freeze dryer.

Matthew Reda

Coached new interns through the Agile ideology and scrum meetings. Developed & coded a solution that allows the mixture of multiple liquids in the scene. Animated & integrated Grade A CLeansuit Avatars into the scene. Collaborated with Alexandre Dicaire to incorporate the new avatars into the scene. Created QR Codes for the project using AI tools like, ChatGPT, StableDiffusion & Midjourney.

Aleecia Everett

Completed the beta version of the VR/AI mobile application developed in Unity with C#. Implemented language localization in multiple languages. Implemented integral backend functionalities such as creating models and repositories and managing HTTP Responses.

Shaunpaul Anthony

Collaborated closely as a member of a dedicated team to integrate networking functionality into a cellular VR simulation. Used Unity and C# for synchronization of all interactive elements, with the goal of improving the experience, immersion, and pedagogy.

Nick Pelletier

Incorporated network multiplayer features in an interactive VR simulated scene, synchronizing environment and timescale adjustments for all players, and enhancing user interaction through remote control functionality. Worked in Unity and C#.

Lucas Pham

Developed a VR educational platform in Unity featuring immersive, switchable environments (e.g., inside a cell) with Blender-crafted assets, complemented by interactive animation controls and a dynamic information board.

Dylan Mcspurren

Designed the original proof of concept for the mobile application and developed the first alpha release in unity. Continued on as a team lead for the beta of the mobile app and collaborated on the first release of the website.

Samuel Rivest

Recreated the VR room into the Mobile Application using Unity Engine. Created a fully functional, intuitive user experience UI for the application. Collaborated with other teams to make sure the applications are uniform. Mentored new interns.

2024

Shiyuan Xu

Upgraded VRAI website’s frontend and backend. Modified authentication and authorization. Introduced course management, enabling email invitations and students’ joining. Additionally, implemented custom equipment data management.

Chang Liu

Full Stack Developer for the VR/AI website front and back end. Customized a backend connecting the website with the VR/AI mobile application and MongoDB database on Azure infrastructure, ensuring synchronized content across platforms.

Li Qian

Full stack developer with a supply chain management backgroud. Developed Troubleshooter website using WordPress for the frond end and also using Node JS to implement the corresponding back end.

Xiaoxing Pan

Full stack developer with a microbiological background, employed Unity to create and develop intuitive and functionally accurate UIs for bioreactor software, implemented the simulation and interactions within the software.


2023

Dmitry Kizyako

Unity and C#. Collaborated with a cross-functional team to ensure agile development and user-centered design. Designed and executed interactive simulations to enhance user experience. Utilized Notion for project management and Unity for programming.

Nadia Mikhaylova

Enhanced the functionality and visual realism of a given virtual reality incubator prefab model within a virtual reality context using C#, Unity, and Rider. Proficiently transformed the incubator model into an immersive and functional virtual reality experience.

Justin Kenneth Alvarez

Enhanced mobile app with new features and animations, implemented language support for multiple languages, and established connectivity between the app and backend for improved functionality.

Programmed, troubleshoooted & tested functionality in the BioSafety Cabinet’s operations menu using Unity.

Greg Barré

Established a starting point for audio development in the VR app. Added ambient noise to the lab room. Enriched the BSC experience with spatial sound effects. Used: Unity, Discord, Trello, Miro, Audacity

Emmanuel Lomeka

Designed & developed multiple pages on the VR/AI website using WordPress. Collaborated with the backend team to implement a registration/login feature. Manually translated the website from English to French.

MANAGEMENT


Robert Hanna

Responsible for the overall conception of the project, objectives, and deliverables, as well as development of collaborative partnerships to inform the work. 10 years of expertise in complex educational simulations used in academic and private settings. Responsible for managing funding and administrative tasks, and telling the occasional funny story, twice. If you laugh, we may have a spot for you on the team.

Alexandre Dicarie

First intern, now Lead Developer on the project. Set up the fundamental code architecture for the VR simulation in Unity. Implemented a custom network solution using the UDP protocol enabling multiplayer capabilities. Managed the technical side of the project following Agile methodology. Assisted the team with technological needs and helped with the onboarding and training of every new intern.
